Long-standing expertise in dialysis and value-based care

Founded in 1996, Fresenius Medical Care has been building on the long-standing expertise in dialysis treatment of its parent company Fresenius, dating back to the post-war era. This provided our teams with a very detailed knowledge of dialysis, which has led us to a number of breakthroughs. From the leading-edge invention of polysulfone dialyzers to the production of dialysis fluids and drugs for kidney diseases, Fresenius Medical Care continues to push innovation through its constant commitment to excellence.

Every day, we remain faithful to the same principle that inspired Dr. Eduard Fresenius throughout his career: an unwavering commitment to quality.

The NephroCare dialysis center

NephroCare dialysis centers are led by a Medical Director specialized in Nephrology and a Referring Nurse, respectively responsible for managing the medical and nursing staff. Each round of treatment is supervised by a Doctor - except in the Limited Assistance Centers (CAL) - and a team of specialized Nurses is responsible for carrying out the dialysis treatment in accordance with the level of assistance (nurse-to-patient ratio) required. by local regulations. Depending on the size, NephroCare centers may have additional technical and administrative support staff.

In addition, the medical director organizes and conducts a monthly multidisciplinary meeting (Clinic Review), to analyze the overall results and improve the health of individual patients; such meetings improve communication and create a shared atmosphere in the center's assistance team.
